SUBMIT-2

Text:1 Peter 5:5

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for   God resists the proud, But gives grace to the humble."

The scripture instructed that we should be clothed with humility, the word 'cloth' is used just as in girding or binding  oneself with something. So, God wants you to wrap yourself with humility so as to become one with it

It is therefore your responsibility to put on humility, God will not do that for you. If God  humbles you, that means you have been brought down by Him. Hence, you must take deliberate steps to keep yourself humble.

A person who has humbled himself is a person who has subjected himself to another; either to God or to man. Such a person can no longer be put down or dragged on the ground. The only option that is opened to  a humble man is exaltation.

A humble man is a lowly man, hence, he can only be exalted by God. He (God) has put down the mighty from their thrones, and exalted the lowly. (Luke 1:52).
It is clear that the proud are sitting on a type of throne. This throne is not God's throne but pride. God will pull down the proud from their throne because God resists the proud.

*A proud person cannot approach God because God will always resist him.*

While every man has the tendency to be proud, due to the fallen nature, the last Adam (Jesus Christ our Lord) has come to deliver us from this evil and sinful nature.

Even as God, Jesus Christ humbled himself unto death. Apostle Paul clearly outlined the depth of humility that Jesus demonstrated both as the divine being and human. Phillipians 2 says, *"Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to [the point of] death, even the death of the cross.(Philippians 2:5-8).*

The result of Christ's humility was ascension to the throne. The case cannot be different for you as well. *You will only ascend the throne on the ladder of humility and not by self-exaltation.*

Let Christ's mind be in you and you will learn how to ascend the throne through humility.

Phillipians 2:5-9

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
