GENERATIONAL GOD

Text : Exodus 3:6.

Then he said, “I am the God of your ancestors, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God.

When God wanted to introduce Himself to Moses He didn't just say, "I AM THE ALMIGHTY GOD". Rather, He chose to introduce Himself as the God of his (Moses')  fathers, because He is a God that works with covenant.

In this moment at the burning bush, God reveals Himself to Moses with the title,
“I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

This is not just a historical statement.
It is a covenant declaration, a reminder of God’s unchanging identity. This talks about His faithfulness across generations, and His personal involvement with His people.

Before God gave Moses a mission…
A mandate to go speak to Pharaoh, before He unveils His plans to him, He first of all reveals His nature to him.

Why? Because *every calling begins with revelation of who God is, and not what we are to do.*

By identifying Himself with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, God shows that:

1.) He is the same through generations
2.) His covenant is unbroken
3.) His promises are still alive
4.) His faithfulness does not expire

*Your life is not a random chapter,  it is part of a bigger story God has been writing long before you were born.*

If your biological father is in Christ, I'll say congratulations because you are not just related by physical bonds, but by eternal blood covenant. However, if your biological father is not in Christ, know that your true genealogy is found the the tree of Abraham.

Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were not the direct fathers of Moses, but our God is a generational God, He links us together not by biology but by covenant.

If the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is not your God, you have no inheritance in Christ, because Jesus Christ identifies with this genealogy.

*BIBLE READING* :

 Exodus 3:6-10.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father, thank You for revealing Yourself as the faithful God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Help me remember that You call me not because I am perfect, but because You are faithful in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
