Text : Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Yes, life can sometimes be unfriendly. Life unfolds in phases, and there are seasons you may truly wish you could skip or wish away. Yet, your disposition toward every turn of events will largely determine what you gain—or lose—from each situation.
No matter the season, God always provides a reason for thanksgiving. Often, those reasons come in small, quiet ways. *Do not turn a blind eye to the little graces and privileges God brings your way each day.* They may seem insignificant, but they are evidence of His faithfulness.
Be careful not to magnify the bad and the ugly while losing sight of the good. That situation you consider unpleasant may be the very thing someone else is thanking God for today. Perspective matters, and gratitude helps us see clearly.
Choose to look for what God has done, rather than cooperating with the enemy by magnifying what you think God has not done. The devil thrives on murmuring and despair, but gratitude silences his voice and strengthens your faith.
*When you maintain a grateful heart, you begin to see God in everything,* in the highs and in the lows, in the answers and even in the waiting. Like Jacob, you will come to the realization that, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I did not know it.” Genesis 28:16.
God hears your silent sighs and understands your unspoken words. He is present, attentive, and at work, even when you are unaware. Hold on to gratitude, for it opens your eyes to God’s nearness and keeps your heart anchored in hope.
