ABUSE OF POWER 2:

Text: Proverbs 16:32.

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.”

Power without restraint is dangerous. Authority without love becomes oppression. Spiritual gifts without the fruit of the Spirit will soon turn into instruments of harm rather than healing and blessing.

The mark of spiritual maturity is not how much power a believer carries, but how well that power is controlled. *Many people can pray; few can forgive. Many can speak in tongues; few can tame their tongues, Many can call fire; few can show mercy.*

Jesus Christ did not deny that His disciples had power. He rebuked the spirit behind their desire to use it wrongly. Power must always be governed by the Spirit of Christ, otherwise it becomes flesh-driven and destructive.

The kingdom of God does not advance by intimidation or threats, but by love, truth, and sacrifice. James 1:20 reminds us that “the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” No matter how justified your anger may seem, it cannot produce God’s righteousness.

True authority is revealed in restraint. Anyone can react; only the spiritually mature can respond with grace. Anyone can curse; only the Christ-minded can bless under pressure.

Many believers lose spiritual credibility not because they lack power, but because they misuse it. God entrusts power to those He can trust with hearts of mercy. Until your spirit is aligned with His, certain spiritual heights will remain unreachable.

Remember this truth: God will never endorse what His nature does not support. *God's power flows best through vessels of humility, compassion, and obedience.*

Let us examine ourselves daily, not asking, “How powerful am I?” but rather, “How Christlike is my response?”

Father, teach me to rule my spirit. Help me to carry Your power with humility and love. Let my life reflect the nature of Christ in word and in deed, in Jesus’ name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
