ISSUES OF BLOOD

Text :Luke 8:43–44

"And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years, but no one could heal her. She came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak, and immediately her bleeding stopped."

From the beginning, God made it clear that blood is not just a fluid — it carries life itself. In Leviticus 17:11, God tells us that the life of the flesh is in the blood. Without blood, the body cannot live. When blood is lost, life is drained. This is not just a physical truth, it's a spiritual one.

There was a particular unnamed woman in the gospel accounts, she suffered from a condition that caused her to bleed continuously. For twelve long years, life was draining from her body day by day. She was not just physically weak— she was socially isolated, emotionally exhausted, and spiritually burdened.

According to the law, her condition made her ceremonially unclean. She couldn’t touch others or be touched. She was losing more than blood — she was losing life, connection, dignity, and hope.

Scripture says she had spent all she had on physicians, but instead of improving, she grew worse (Mark 5:26). This is the reality for many: the world offers expensive solutions but no healing. People will take what you have, give you empty promises, and leave you worse than before. The systems of man cannot fix what is broken at the soul level. The world often exploits pain instead of healing it.

Only Jesus Can Truly Help. This woman heard about Jesus. He was not like the others. He didn’t demand payment. He didn’t exploit pain — He healed it. With just a touch of the hem of His garment, life flowed back into her. The flow of blood stopped and the flow of life began.

Jesus didn’t just stop the bleeding — He restored her identity, her dignity, and her relationship with God and others. He turned and said, “Daughter, your faith has made you whole.” (Luke 8:48). The first time in twelve years someone spoke to her with love — and called her daughter.

Her healing didn’t come because she was strong — it came because she decided to go to Jesus by faith. Weak, tired, unclean, and unwanted, yet she reached out. Faith doesn’t require strength, it just requires direction. She didn’t wait to be invited. She didn’t wait until she was better. She pressed through the crowd, through fear, through shame — and she touched Him.

Jesus was her only hope and He was more than enough. Jesus is your only hope too, and He is more than enough.

Beloved, take time to reflect on the following questions -
1. Where are you losing life?

2. Who or what have you turned to that only drained you further?

3. Are you willing to press through your pain, shame, or fear  just to touch Jesus?

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
