DON'T WORRY

Text : Matthew 6:27:

Can any of you add a single hour to the length of your life by worrying?*
In this simple but piercing question, Jesus challenged one of humanity’s deepest habits: *worry* .

Worry is something we all experience. Whether it's about finances, relationships, health, the future, or even things we can't quite name — anxiety can quietly take root in our minds and steal our peace.

But Jesus, in His Sermon on the Mount, asks us to pause and to think or reflect on this question.

What does worry really accomplish?
Can it make us live longer?
Can it solve the problem?
Can it bring peace or clarity?

The answer, of course, is no. Worry has never added a single moment to anyone’s life. In fact, it often steals from it— not just  in hours, but in joy, focus, and spiritual growth.

Worry is often fueled by the illusion that we’re in control — or that we should be. Jesus lovingly reminds us that the One who holds the world also holds our tomorrow. When we shift our eyes from the unknown to the Known — from our problems to our Provider — we begin to loosen worry’s grip on our lives.

This verse doesn’t ignore real-life struggles. Jesus isn’t saying your concerns are meaningless. He actually acknowledged the fact that man needs necessary things of life .  in Matthew 6:32.

Instead, He’s inviting you to bring those concerns into the presence of God, where they can be transformed.

What’s something you’ve been worrying about lately? Name it.

Ask yourself honestly: Has worrying changed the outcome?

Take a moment to release that burden to God in prayer. Speak it aloud or write it down.

Memorize Matthew 6:27. Let it be a reminder to pause and pray whenever worry arises.

Matthew 6:25-34.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father, please, I confess that I often let worry take the driver’s seat in my life. Help me to remember that You are in control — not me. Teach me to trust You more deeply in  Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
