CALL TO GLORY-2

Text : 2 Thessalonians 2:14.

With this purpose in mind, he called you through our proclamation of the gospel so that you would obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus, the Messiah.

Glory is described as great beauty or splendour that is so overwhelming. It is considered powerful. Glory is honour, admiration, or distinction, accorded by common consent to a person or thing.

Being called to the glory of Jesus Christ means that God invites us—through faith in Christ Jesus to share in His life, His holiness, His purpose, and ultimately, His eternal glory. This calling is both a present reality and a future hope for every believer.

To be called to His glory first means being called into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. It's not just about rules or religion, but about being united with Him.

1 Corinthians 1:9 says, “God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”
*You’re invited into intimacy, friendship, and transformation through knowing Jesus. How well are you exploring and enjoying this relationship?*

The Bible teaches that those who trust in Christ will ultimately share in His glory, meaning we will be transformed and live forever in His presence.

Romans 8:17 says,“...if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in His glory.”

Sharing in Jesus’ glory often includes sharing in His suffering. This is one truth that many believers do not want to hear. Glory follows suffering, just as just Christ suffered before entering glory, Luke 24:26, believers may walk a hard road but it ends in eternal reward and glory. Truly, when you persevere to the end, you will know and say like Paul that our light affliction here is working for us an exceeding weight of glory. (2 Corinthians 4:17).

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
