BE VIGILANT

TEXT: Luke 17:26.

“Just as it was in the days of Noah, so will it be in the days of the Son of Man...”

In the days of Noah, people were eating, drinking, marrying and going about  life as usual. In the days of Lot, they were buying, selling, planting, building, just  normal daily routines. Nothing out of the ordinary.

But Jesus uses these very activities to make a startling point: life was business as usual until judgment fell suddenly.
The warning isn’t about the evils of eating or marrying or working,  it’s about spiritual unawareness. The people of Noah’s and Lot’s days weren’t paying attention to the signs of God's coming judgment. They were so absorbed in the immediate, - their plans, pleasures, and priorities so much so that they missed the greater spiritual reality unfolding around them.

And Jesus says: “So it will be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”

This isn’t just a prophetic word about the distant future. It’s a word for today. The call here isn’t to panic, it’s a call to prepare. Not in fear, but in faithful alertness.

Are you living as if Jesus could return at any moment? Or are we so rooted in our own plans and comfort that we’ve forgotten we’re part of a bigger story?

Jesus isn’t asking us to stop living normal lives — He’s asking us to live our lives with eternal awareness. He's calling us to be vigilant, to be watchful. Work, build, marry, plan — but do it with your heart anchored and centered  on heaven. Stay spiritually awake.

Because when Jesus returns, and He will.  It won’t be announced with a countdown. It’ll be like rain on a clear day. And those who are ready will rejoice. Those who aren't… won’t have time to get ready.

Here's a question for you to ponder,  What does “being ready” look like in your daily life?

. Teach me to see beyond the surface of things — to notice Your hand at work and to respond with faith and obedience. Let me be found ready when You return. Amen.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
