KEEP UP THE RIGHT ATTITUDE-3

TEXT: Genesis 50:15

When Joseph's brothers saw that their father was dead, they said, "Perhaps Joseph will hate us, and may actually repay us for all the evil which we did to him."

God wants us to be like Him. He is an ever faithful and merciful Father. Once He forgives, He does not open up the offence again. *To know if you have truly forgiven an offence, you need to check if the pain is totally gone.* A forgiven offence no longer brings pain to the heart. Once you have genuinely given  pardon to an offender, you will realise that the pain which the offence and the offender brought to you had totally disappeared. Even if the offence is being talked about, it will no longer bring pain to your heart.

Joseph's attitude towards his brothers remained consistent even after the death of their  Father(Jacob). This was because the Lord had completely healed him of the offence that his brothers committed against him.

Though Joseph had forgiven His brothers, they find it very difficult to forgive themselves. His brothers had thought that his attitude would change towards them after  the death of their Father.

Since they have always been manipulative, they also find it very difficult to let go of their deceptive attitude. They sent a messenger to Joseph with a false message saying "Before your father died he commanded you, saying "I beg you, please forgive the trespass of your brothers and their sin; for they did evil to you...."'

You can see the reason for which you must keep the right heart. Don't ever expect a change from wicked people and do not allow their attitude to affect you also. Joseph's brothers knew the magnitude of their sin against Joseph. Instead of coming forward to simply ask for mercy from Joseph, they gather themselves to fabricate another lie against their Father who had died.

Joseph's response shows a good heart and kind attitude. It revealed he was truly a prototype of Jesus Christ our Lord. The scripture says that Joseph wept and he said, "...Fear not; for am I in the place of God? [Vengeance is His, not mine.]. As for you, you thought evil against me, but God meant it for good, to bring about that many people should be kept alive, as they are this day. Now therefore, do not be afraid. I will provide for and support you and your little ones. And he comforted them [imparting cheer, hope, strength] and spoke to their hearts [kindly].
(Genesis 50:19-21- Amp.).

*While you must keep up the right attitude always, you must however never expect any change in people.*

Wicked people are like snake, even if its venom has been removed, it still has intention to sting and it always will behave like snake.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
