SIGHT

Text: Mark  10:51

So Jesus answered and said to him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" The blind man said to Him, "Rabboni, that I may receive my sight."

Sight simply means the ability to see. We shall be looking at this topic from physical and spiritual angle.

My first desire and prayer is that the Lord will give sight to as many of his children that are at the verge of loosing their sights or that have lost their sights in Jesus name.Amen!

One who has lost his or her sight is one who will not be able to do many things. Hence, many blind people have resolved to begging. This was the case of Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus in our Bible reading.

He always sit by the highway side begging. In those days, there has not been so much technological advancements as we have it today, hence, anyone who is blind often resolved to begging.

So, we can say that blindness reduces productivity and leads to reliance on another. Physically, this may not be entirely true about all blind people, but it is very true about many blind people.

In the same way, if one is blind spiritually, such  will not be productive as such, he will always be overly reliant on others to give him assistance. Such person is also prone to stumbling even in the day time.

As a result of technology, many people who are blind have been able to overcome many of the challenges that come with such predicament. It is however unfortunate that there is no spiritual technology to aid those that are blind spiritually. Such ones can only be helped through the healing power of Jesus Christ.

One who is blind spiritually can only be healed of blindness and there is no tool to help such one except healing in the name of Jesus.

*Spiritual blindness is that which robs one of spiritual sight and by extension spiritual blessings.*

*Give a spiritually blind person like Esau, bread and stew of lentils, and he will sell his birthright.* (Gen 25:29-34).

*Spiritual blindness is very dangerous because it robs Christians of their inheritance.*

The first assignment God gave to Paul was to open the eyes of the gentiles. (Acts 26:18).

As a believer, you need to constantly engage  Ephesians 1: 17&18 prayer for sight and illumination:

_"...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints..."_

 *BIBLE READING*

Mark 10:46-52.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Father open my eyes to see as I ought to see in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to. Basically,  there are only two families in this world - the family of God, and the family of satan. In other words, we can say the Kingdom...
