PLEASURE

Text:Revelation 4:11. 

Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

God created all things so they all can give Him pleasure. Now, I know you know that you are included in the "all things" that He created to give Him pleasure. If you don't know your purpose in life, know that essentially, you were created to give God pleasure.

Our God is a Pleasure being. If you have ever experienced pleasure before, know that that pleasurable expression was put in you by God, because He has deposited a measure of Himself in all of His creatures.

Because the devil knows that God will be pleased with you when your life is giving pleasure to Him, he went ahead of man to pervert pleasure as it were.

Man that was originally created to give pleasure to God now derives pleasure in displeasing God. 2 Timothy 3:4 says men have become lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God. The fall of man has made man to take pleasures in unrighteousness. (2 Thessalonians 2:12).

One legit way by which the devil makes Christians to become unfruitful in bringing pleasure to the Father is through the pleasures of this world.

While explaining the parable of the sower, Jesus Christ gave pleasures of life as one of the reasons for  unfruitfulness. He said, 
"And that which fell among thorns are those, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection."(Luke  8:14).

Imagine that some people will not do the will of God because of the pleasures that this world offers. Some people have substituted  service unto God for service unto self- aggrandizement and self-indulgence.

While hardship may be the excuse some folks give for not serving God faithfully, pleasure will be the very reason why others would be unfaithful and unfruitful.

In order words, no excuse is tenable. You were created to give God pleasure through your daily living. The devil will surely fight you tooth and nail to ensure that you don't fulfill God's mandate, Watch out!

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you.
