NEW JOURNEY

Text:John 1:12. 

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

The birth of a new child always bring Joy to  family and well wishers. In the same way, Luke  15:7 says, *I tell you that there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over 99 righteous people who don’t need to repent.”* 

That is, the birth of a new born in Christ will bring untold joy to those in heaven than any mere unbeliever or church goer who sees no need for repentance. This new birth in Christ is what is known as second birth.

However, the birth of a new born is not the end of the journey, it's actually the beginning of a new journey. It is expected that the new born babe should grow into maturity and adulthood.

1 Peter 2:2 says, As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: the essence of the milk is so that you can grow.

The question is, have you experienced this second birth? If yes, how are you fairing in this journey? Are you truly feeding on the sincere milk of the word? Are you cognizant of the fact that the essence of the milk is for growth?

If you have not experienced the second birth, you have not started the journey to eternal life. Don't waste any more time, accept Jesus Christ into your life today.

As we progress in this journey, hear God's injuctions to you from  1 Peter 2:11, *Dear friends, I urge you as aliens and exiles to keep on abstaining from the desires of the flesh that wage war against the soul.*

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to.
