LOST AND FOUND

Text: Luke 15:32.

*But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come back to life. He was lost and has been found.’”*

In Luke chapter fifteen, Jesus told the story of the loving Father. From this story, it's clear that we have two kinds of people in the Church depicted by two brothers.

The first, which is generally known as the prodigal son represents the  backsliding Christians, and the second who was referred to as 'the elder brother' represents the religious Christians.

Note that the prodigal son was not an unbeliever. He was a son to the Father. He was a son who strayed away from God. He squanders his inheritance, experiences hardship, and eventually came to the realization of his sins and requests to be a hired servant. His humility and repentance led to a joyous reunion with his father, who embraces him back as a son.

The Father gladly declared that His son was lost and found.
He received him with open arms and jubilation.

Our heavenly Father is still lovingly waiting to receive you back if only you will turn to Him. He says in John 6:37 that He will by no means cast away those who turn to Him.

At times, the devil can deceive you that you have moved too far away from God, that you can't go back to Him. Know that this is a lie. the prodigal son received a Fatherly welcome because he chose to go back to the Father. Choose to go back to God.

Romans 5:8 says, But *God commended his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.* If God allowed His son, Jesus Christ to die for you while you were still a sinner, He is more than ready to accept you now that you have known Him.

Proverbs 24:16 says for though a righteous man falls seven times, he will rise again. What makes a righteous man is not that he can't fall, but that he will not stay fallen, he will rise again.

You can also rise again and return back to the Father today.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
