LITTLE IS MUCH

Text: Luke  16:10

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Many are often tempted to think that little things should be despised and handled carelessly, and that when big things come, they will handle it more carefully.

Such people despise small duties. When they are given a position to lead few people they do not lead them with all seriousness. They spend any little money that come to them lavishly, hoping that bigger money is on the way. They despise  people that seem not to be important in the society. They despise people that are not famous or rich. They disregard  the men of God around them thinking that they are not as popular, powerful,  and anointed as the popular ones on the social media.

The way man thinks is not the way God thinks. That's the reason the scripture says "...my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." (Isaiah 55:8-9).

The statement made by Jesus in our study text shows that God will judge people based on their faithfulness towards the assignment, gift, grace, potentials and anointing He has given them.

Hence, if you are faithful with the small things God has committed into your hands, He will consider you qualified for big things or even consider you for the same reward that would be given to people who have handled big things.(Matthew 20:1-14).

*Every big thing starts small, you must therefore learn to handle small things seriously.* Jesus once mentioned that a poor widow who gave her two mites as offering to God, gave more than all the people that gave. (Luke 21:1-4).

Please do not despise yourself when you are handling small things, give it your best. God is looking at faithfulness in how you deal with things He's committed into your hands. *God is not so much considering the quantity or the size of what you are handling for Him, as much as the faithfulness you are putting into what He has comnitted into your hands.*

Do you remember the little boy with bread and two small fishes with which Jesus fed  five thousand men. Though the boy is *little* , he's got *few* bread and *small* fishes, yet Jesus used all He offered to do great and mighty things. *Always be willing to offer your little, and small things to God with diligence and faithfulness and He will do great things with them.*

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1.) Father God, I receive the grace to handle little and  small  things you have given me faithfully.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
