TETE-A-TETE

Text :  Genesis 3:2&3

The woman said to the serpent, “We may eat fruit from the trees of the garden,* *but not the fruit of the tree which is in the middle of the garden. God has said, ‘You shall not eat of it. You shall not touch it, lest you die.’”

Some folks believe if you want to dine with the devil, you must do so with a long spoon. Well, this is only an earthly wisdom. As a child of God, you must not dine with the devil at all, whether with a short or long spoon.

The truth is the devil has been around long before you, you can't outsmart him in his game. The only way you can have victory over him is to pitch your tent with He who has been before the devil himself. When you follow God and His words, He will teach you how to lead a victorious life here on earth.

In His words, He told us not to have anything to do with darkness- the devil. He asked in 2 Corinthians 6:14, that, 'What partnership can righteousness have with lawlessness? What fellowship can light have with darkness?'

And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what does a believer share in common with an unbeliever?
And what mutual agreement does the temple of God have with idols? For we are the temple of the living God, just as God said, “I will live in them and will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” (2 Corinthians 6:15-16).

Clearly, you can't mingle with darkness and everything darkness represents and be safe.

This is one principle Eve didn't realize. She was having a tete-a-tete with the devil and the outcome is what the world is dealing with today.

At times, the devil wants to engage you in tete-a-tete over your health, telling you how you will die through a particular disease. At times, he wants to engage you in tete-a-tete over your marriage, telling you how your marriage will fail. At times, he can go into your future and plan with you how you will fail and even give you despicable options to explore. Instead of rolling along with the devil, do what our master did.

Whenever the devil wants to have a tete-a-tete with you over any matter, silence him with "it is written.' Tell him what is written concerning that matter and when he comes up with another suggestion, tell him what is written about it also.

It is written, you will live and not die, it is written, no weapon formed against you shall prosper. As a matter of fact, every aspect of your life is covered in His words. 

Hold on to His words, meditate on it day and night and observe to do all that is written therein, and you will make your way prosperous and have true success.

1.) Father, grant me the  grace to be diligent in studying your word that I may truly know all that is written concerning me.

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. BEWARE OF DOGS

Text :  Philippians 3:2. Beware of the dogs! Beware of the evil workers! Beware of the mutilators! Usually, when you see the inscription "BEWARE OF DOGS", you instantly know there's a wild or trained dog around the corner, hence, the need to beware.  However, when God says 'Beware of dogs,' He wasn't actually referring to dogs as in 'animals' but to animals in human skin. Note that this caution was given to believers against other so-called  believers.  That is, some people within the church that we refer to as brothers and sisters are actually operating in the capacity of dogs.Though fellow worshippers in the church are called brothers and sisters, but if they behave like wild animals, know that they are dogs in humans skin- BEWARE.
