KEPT FROM EVIL

Text: John 17:15

I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

When Jesus was about to leave the face of the earth after his earthly ministry, He began to intercede for  his disciples(this includes you). Today, we shall be looking at one of the prayer points of Jesus Christ for you.

Jesus knew that this world is under the influence of the devil, and by implication subjected to evil.
Though He knew the depth of the evil in this world, yet He asked the Father to keep us in this world. The world is such a messed up place but the Lord would still have His disciples stay here for His purpose to be fulfilled.
He however asked the Father to keep you from the evil.

The implication of our text (John 17:15) is that the whole world lies in darkness and wickedness (evil) that taking you out of this world immediately after you became born again wouldn't have been a bad idea, but Jesus considered that you must keep on shining His light even in the midst of darkness. He then asked that you be kept from the evil.

Jesus did not just asked the Father God to keep us from *evil* but from *the evil.*  *The evil in our world today is the devil himself, you must be fully committed to Jesus Christ in order to get rid of devil's influence over your life.* He walks to and fro, and up and down on earth.

Satan himself testified to his ceaseless vertical and horizontal movement upon the earth. _And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it._ (Job 1:7).

You need to be rest assured that Jesus has provided us with genuine life assurance cover from the evil that the devil is dispensing in our world today.

Evil will not come to you this year. You are covered and shielded away from the evil and the evil one from now on and forever in Jesus name. This was Jesus' prayer for you over 2000 years ago and it still stands true today, tomorrow and forever.

John 17:11-15.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
