CROSS OVER

Text : Exodus 14:16.

You are to raise your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it, so the Israelis may go into the middle of the sea on dry land.

God lives in timeless zone.He lives outside of time. But He always honors our timing and time zones. By human calendar, today is the last day in this year. Today, by the Grace of God,we will cross over from 2024 to 2025.

A number of people that has not been to church this year will definitely show appearance this night for a cross over service. I sincerely pray that they will encounter God.

But the focus today is not about those who go to church once a year. The focus is about You. To safely leave Egypt (the land of slavery) the Israelites needed to cross over the red sea.

Humanly speaking, crossing the red sea was an impossible task, but this was not their only headache, the Egyptian army were furiously closing in on them at the other end. They were sandwiched between two impossible and unpleasant situations.

Beloved, 31st of December is not the only day you will have to 'cross-over.' As we progress in life, you will be faced with situations that will require you to cross over your 'red sea' before you can get to your promised land.

At this point, what should you do? First, don't behave like the Israelites. *Don't look for who to blame for any unpleasant situation in your life, buck passing will not bring any solution.*

Though, Moses and the rest of the Israelites were faced with the same situation, they had different approach in handling it. Moses was able to stay calm in the face of chaos because he knows how to hear the voice of God.

God told Moses, 'You are to raise your staff, stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it, so the Israelites may go into the middle of the sea on dry land. (Exodus  14:16).

Whenever you are faced with challenging situation, you are to raise your voice in accordance with God's words and address the situation.

Isaiah 54:17 says, " *No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.* "

Notice that the verse above did not say God will condemn every tongue that shall rise against you, but that *YOU* shall condemn. This is your staff of authority. This is your heritage as a child of God.

You can't wish the red sea away, but you can walk on dry land in the middle of red sea when you use the word of God as your weapon. You can't stop the Egyptian army from rising against you, but you can be rest assured that they will all perish in the red sea as you stand on the word of God and proclaim same in obedience.

As we are crossing over into the new year, may you receive the grace to cross over your red seas in Jesus name.

 *Bible reading:*

 Exodus 14:1-25.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. ASK God to forgive you of every  form of murmuring and buck passing you have done in the past.

2. Pray for Grace to boldly condemn every form of annoying situations in your life.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
