Text : John 17:9
*"I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours."*
John chapter 17 is dedicated to prayer. Jesus prayed for his disciples and this includes you. He said "...Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;"
It is clear from the above that if you have believed in the Lord Jesus through your confession(word), then you are part of the prayer He made to the Father in John 17. It is important for you to know that *Jesus, our High Priest had prayed for you, and He's still praying for you right now.*
Knowing fully well that none of Jesus' requests will go unanswered, you therefore need to stand in a position of Amen (Yes) to all the prayers He's made and still making for you. To say Amen is to simply believe that Jesus' prayers for you has already been answered. Saying Amen is also for you to start walking in the realities of these prayers.
We shall be looking into some of these prayers in order for you to start taking delivery of your blessings.
The first prayer point Jesus prayed for us is unity. Our Lord Jesus prayed thus: *"...Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. (John 17:11)"* .
*The unity of the body is very paramount in the heart of Jesus Christ.* Disunity is a major arsenal of the devil against marriages, homes, families and the church of God in general. The devil knows that unity among the children of God will terminate his reign on earth quickly, hence,he is doing all he could to keep us disunited and divided.
Even between husband and wife, disunity is a major weapon the enemy employs.
It is better for a couple to stay in unity than praying against the devil in disunity. Staying together and in unity must always precede every other thing in marriage or in the church.
As people of God, we must not allow denomination to divide the body of Christ. The body has remained weak, because we've not come to terms with the prayer of unity that Jesus Christ offered to the Father on our behalf.
Today, God wants you to say Amen to the prayer of unity concerning your marriage by staying in unity with your spouse.
He wants you to say Amen to the prayer by staying united in your family.
He wants you to say Amen by staying in unity with your brethren.
Our unity in the body of Christ is the Amen to Jesus' Prayer.
