BLESSED TO BLESS-2

Text: Psalms 68:19

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Yesterday we established that God has blessed us in order that we might be a blessing to others.

Today, we shall be looking at the kind of positive reaction that should emanate from you towards God as a result of the daily benefits He loads you with.

While God blesses His children with daily benefits, He equally expects His children to give Him glory in return.

All that God desires to receive from the blessings He's sending to you is glory. *Returning all the glory to God for all the blessings you receive from Him is equivalent to blessing the Lord.* Hence, God has blessed you in order that you may bless Him. So, how can you bless the Lord if not by glorifying Him with all your being and resources.

Everything that God has created praises and blesses Him. Psalms 145:10 says that, All your works shall praise thee, O LORD; and your saints shall bless thee.

The moment any work of God ceases to praise Him, such ceases to live and flourish. For you to keep on flourishing, you must keep on glorifying His name and deeds in your life. You must be able to see details of His goodness and blessings in your life.

The more of God's blessings that you thank and glorify Him for, the more of His blessings  you keep experiencing in your life.

 Bible Reading:

 Psalms 103:1-8.

 PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father Lord, I receive the grace to always return all the glory to you for all of your blessings in my life.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be co...
