LEADING AND RESPONSIBILITY!

TEXT: 1 Samuel 12:23

Moreover as for me, God forbid that I should sin against the LORD in ceasing to pray for you: but I will teach you the good and the right way:

While God has pronounced the dominion mandate upon every man, He has also orchestrated leadership amongst human system.

To occupy a leadership position is not equivalent to exercising dominion over the followers, rather it is to lead the followers into their dominion mandate in God.

A father leads a family, a Pastor leads a congregation, a President leads a nation- all these leaders are to lead their followers into  dominion and not to exercise dominion over them.

Any father or husband that does not know this will simply be a dictator, any Pastor who has not understood this simple truth will be missing out a very important point.

Leadership, as far as God is concerned is the discharge of the responsibility of leading  followers into their God given dominion mandate.

Often than not, the enemy mix things up in the head of a leader. Hence, such ends up becoming a bad leaders rather than standing in for God.

As a leader, God does not want you to exercise dominion over your followers but to lead them into their dominion mandate.

Now let's begin to look into our study text. Samuel as a prophet and Judge over the nation of Israel knew quite well that leadership is responsibility. He knew that if he refused to pray  for the people and teach them, he has sinned against the Lord.

As a leader, you have a great responsibility of  standing in Gap between  God and your followers. You must talk to God about them, and also talk to them about God. This is the true responsibility of any leader. When God is not the focus in leadership, then such leadership cannot lead the followers into their dominion mandate.

In whatever leadership capacity you are serving, you must ensure that you are truly standing in for God. Anything less than that is simply a share waste of time.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
