HEALING AGENT(2)

TEXT : Jeremiah  8:22

Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?

Today, we shall be looking at steps on how you can rise through the ladder of receiving healing from hurt, becoming healing agent and raising many other healing agents.

 1. Receiving Healing from hurt

The man of Gadarene  received healing because he went through three major steps. Let us look at the three major steps this man undertook in Mark 5:6 before he was restored to sanity.

_i. He had a clear vision of Jesus_ :

The only physician who gives true and total freedom from hurts is our Lord Jesus Christ.* The scripture stated in Mark 5:6 that the possessed man of the Gadarene _"...saw Jesus from afar..."_  You need to have a clear picture of Jesus' presence in your life in order for you to be delivered from any form of hurt. Seeing Jesus in your situation takes a conscious setting of your heart and mind on Him even while you are hurting. It is rather unfortunate that many hurting people are not able to see Jesus in their situation. They are veiled and blindfolded by their hurts.

 _ii. He ran to Jesus:_

If a demon- possessed man could run to Jesus, where have you been carrying your hurting self to?

 iii. _He worshipped Jesus:_

Worship indicates submission and, True worship is simply submission to God and His will in your life.

The demon-possessd man submitted himself to  the Lordship of Christ. He submitted himself to be healed of his hurt. Though the demon in the man bowed to Jesus, but the man also submitted his will to worship Jesus. (Mark 5:6-7).

No one receives true help until he submits himself to be helped.

It is worthy to note that before you can give healing to others, you must have first of all received healing yourself. I believe that it was this man who carried his situation to Jesus. You will realise that the demon in him cried out with a loud voice in Mark 5:7 saying,  "What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me."

It is high time you took your hurts to Jesus  for healing and deliverance.

 Bible reading:

Mark 5:1-20.

 PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, I open up myself for your healing and deliverance from my affliction and infirmities in Jesus name.

2. Father God, torment every spirit tormenting me in the name of Jesus.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
