DON'T WORRY

Text : Matthew 6:25.

“That’s why I’m telling you to stop worrying about your life—what you will eat or what you will drink—or about your body—what you will wear. Life is more than food, isn’t it, and the body more than clothing?

Everything around us is prompting us to worry, but the word of God explicitly said, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR LIFE.

Admittedly, some of the things you worry about are legit, but legitimate or not, worry is not permitted in God's kingdom.

Naturally, man is wired to worry about every details of his life. We worry about what to eat, what to drink and about what to wear. This seems like the basic need of life, but the owner of life Himself said you shouldn't worry even about the so called basic needs of life.

The truth is Life is more than food and clothing, this Jesus said without mincing words. Mt.6:25.

This world's system has cultured man to believe that life is all about survival. This survival instinct has put man in a perpetual worry-mode.

Here are some of the questions Jesus raised for you to ponder on-

Can any of you add a single hour to the length of your life by worrying?

And why do you worry about clothes? Consider the lilies in the field and how they grow. They don’t work or spin yarn,

but I tell you that not even Solomon in all of his splendor was clothed like one of them.

Now if that is the way God clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and thrown into an oven tomorrow, won’t he clothe you much better—you who have little faith?

Worrying shows you have little or no faith in God. The God that caters for ordinary grass and birds of the air is more than committed to taking care of you in everyway.

Matthew 6:25-34.

 PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, grant me the grace to cast  all my worries and cares on you knowing  you care for me.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
