BE CONVERTED

Text: Matthew 18:3.

Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

The disciples were bidding for who will be the greatest in God's kingdom. When the matter was brought to Jesus, He told them the most important thing is getting to the kingdom first before thinking about hierarchy.

What He said to them then, He is saying same to you now, "unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter into the kingdom of heaven". This shows that conversion  is the means to entering into God's kingdom.

Now, what are we to convert to? Well, very clearly Jesus says 'be converted and become like little children. Note that Jesus was talking to His disciples at this point. This goes to show that you don't become automatically converted the instant you gave your life to Christ. You have to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in working out your conversion.

At this point, it is important to look into the qualities of litte children in order to know what Jesus wants you to grow into.

Among the many qualities of a litte child are humility and forgiving spirit. A little child has no iota of pride in him. When a child shows traces of pride, know that such is no longer a child.

Conversion into a little child essentially talks about humility.  This virtue is one thing Lucifer lacked and the reason he was cast down from heaven.

James  4:6 says, *God resists the proud, but gives grace unto the humble.*

Anyone who is humble will not find it difficult to forgive.
James  4:10 says, Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

If making it to the kingdom of God is your aim, then conversion should be your goal.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
