DO NOT DOUBT

Text:Matthew 14:30
But when he saw that the wind [was] boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!"

*Doubt sinks people in a sea of fear, and fear is a tormentor.*

When Peter saw the boisterous wind, he was afraid and beginning to sink. Having heard Jesus bade him come, he began to sink when he looked away from the voice of Him who has bid him to come.

Doubt takes place once you loose your focus on Jesus and His words. You loose your focus on Jesus and His words when you set your gaze on the happenings around you.

The word 'doubt' is coined from the Greek word 'distazo' which also mean waiver. One who doubts is like the wave of the sea. (James 1:6).

When you doubt God's word,it means that your heart is shifted away from God. May the Lord give us a strong heart that does not move away from its original position in God in Jesus name.

God is looking for people whose heart will stay on Him. King Asa's heart shifted from  God to other gods, and God sent a seer to him saying,
"...the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect towards Him..." A heart that is perfect towards God is a heart that neither doubt God nor his word.

Jesus, having saved Peter from sinking, said to him, "...O you of little faith, why did you doubt?"   (Matth. 14:31).
*A doubting heart can only produce little faith, and little faith is not sufficient enough to generate the desired result.*

In time of difficulty or trouble, always position your heart in faith by making a bold declaration:

I fear no Fear!
I doubt my Doubt!
I trust my God!

Bible reading:Matthew 14:22-33.
