MONEY

Text: 1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is a root of all evils; it is through this craving that some have been led astray and have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves through with many acute [mental] pangs.

In the synoptic gospels, Jesus spoke about money more than He spoke about heaven and hell put together.

Jesus Christ related a number of His parables, stories and narratives using money as the main theme. This goes to say that our Lord did not deny the realities of the world we live in and the need for money.

He is aware of people's need for money, He is aware of the greed of man as far as money is concerned. He is also aware of how humans are willing to take another's life because of money.
*It is both good and important to have money, but it can be very dangerous and destructive when money or the love of it possesses anyone.*
This is the exact message Paul was pointing out in his letter to Timothy.

A true child of God must never fall in love with money. It's however sad to know that many believers have usurp the place of God for money in their lives.

God knows that every child of His needs money on this side of eternity, but He does not want His children to love or serve money. When Jesus reiterated the greatest commandment, He said, "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind."(Matthew 22:37).

So, the truth is; if you have loved the Lord with *ALL* your heart, soul and mind, there won't be any more space left to love money. Your love should only be for what God has commanded you to love. The Lord commanded you to love Him, your neighbour, your husband, your wife, your children but not money.

The scripture has clearly pointed out that the love of money is the root of all evil. Yes! You need money for daily upkeep, but God would neither have you love it nor serve it. Money should simply be taken and regarded as a legal tender for transactions and not as a master or lord over your life.

You must know that the worth of *your life is worth much more than all the monies in the whole world.*

Do have respect and honour for God and human lives. Don't estimate money above God and human lives. When you do, you are a servant of money yourself.

Money can acquire many things in this world, but it can never give salvation which has brought humanity Peace and Joy in Christ Jesus.

Our God is Jehovah Jireh, perhaps you are in need of money to fulfill a certain course at this point in time, just look on to God and He will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory.

*And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.* Philippians 4:19.

 *Bible reading:*

1 Timothy 6:3-10.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1.) Heavenly Father, I ask that you supply all my needs according to riches in glory in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
