BLIND BARTIMAEUS-3

Text: Mark 10:51.
Then Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man told him, “Rabbouni, I want to see again.”

Have you ever wondered why Jesus  asked a blind man what He wants Him to do for him? Well, Jesus Christ doesn't force Himself on anyone. He will only help you to the extent you gave Him access.

This is why He said in Revelation 3:20 that, *Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.* As much as He loves to come into your life and situation,  He wouldn't do so except you open up to Him.

So, Jesus asked Blind Bartimaeus what he really wanted, because He needed him to say with his mouth what his need was.

Don't assume for people. What seems to you as their obvious need may not actually be what they wanted. There are some blind people that will rather prefer to collect money from both God and man rather than healing and salvation.

When Jesus healed the uncontrollable mad man of Gerasenes in Mark chapter five, one would think that the people of the community will be relieved and happy that the man and their community were free at last. But instead of appreciating Jesus, they practically begged Him to leave them and their territory. (Mark 5:2-17).

So, you wouldn't know the need of man until he says it.

Blind Bartimaeus told Jesus what he really needed and he got his miracle. This man did something outstanding after he got his miracle.
_Jesus told him, “Go. Your faith has made you well.” At once the man could see again, and he began to follow Jesus down the road._(Mark 10:52).

Many are following Jesus today because they are in need of one miracle or the other,  the moment they receive this miracle, they will depart from Jesus, and go their ways.

Inversely, the moment blind Bartimaeus got his miracle, he followed Jesus in the way. *If indeed your eyes have been opened in the spirit, you will naturally follow Jesus all the way.*

Anyone whose spiritual sight has been restored, will not need anyone to push him to follow Jesus. Once you see Jesus,  you wouldn't let Him out of your sight.

Sincerely ask God to open the eyes of your heart so that you may truly see Jesus Christ and truly follow Him.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
