INSTRUCTION IS LIFE

Text:  Proverbs 4:13.

Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is thy life.

Simply put, instruction is like oxygen, when you let go of it, you let go of living.

We are where we are today as humans because our first parents refused to follow instructions. On the other hand, man receives a way of escape from eternal damnation because Jesus Christ our Saviour followed instructions to the letter.

Wisdom and instruction always go hand in hand. There's no way anyone can get wisdom if he disdains instruction.

The essence of the book of proverbs is to give wisdom through series of instructions. So, to forsake  instruction is to forfeit wisdom.

The introduction of the book of proverbs spelt out the objective of the whole book,  it says the book is to know *wisdom* and *instruction* ; to perceive the words of understanding; Proverbs 1:2. In order words,  to milk out the blessings from the book (and from the whole bible as it were),  you must watch out for the instructions with the intent of obeying them.

Proverbs  1:7 says The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. It's foolishness to despise instruction.

Every of God's blessing comes with instruction, obey the instructions and you'll  get the blessings.

*Bible Reading :*

Proverbs 1:1-6.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

Father Lord, please give me grace for prompt and total obedience.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...
