WHEN YOU PRAY-2

Text : Mark 11:24.

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive [them,] and you will have them.

Today, we shall be looking at the last part of the text. Jesus said, "...believe that you receive them and you will have them"

Having asked for what you need in prayer, you must believe that you receive what you pray for. At this point,  the transaction has already been concluded in the realm of the spirit.

The scenario here can be likened to you receiving an alert on your phone, indicating that your bank account has been credited. If the sender of the money should ask if you have received the money, you will simply say yes! Though the money has not gotten to you physically, but you have received it all the same.

In the same manner, Jesus want you to always believe that whenever you ask the Lord for anything (as it relates to His Will), that it is done, and that you have received what you asked for instantly (not when you have seen, felt, or touched it). John 11:40, 1John 5:14.

The point we often miss is the timeline between "receiving" and "having". Although you have received the credit (alert) in your bank account, yet there is time-gap between the time your account is credited and the time of collecting the money from the bank or at ATM point. Whichever way, the money is already yours, whether it's in your account or in your hand. It is also possible you start spending the money right away or transfer it to someone else from your account. This is because the money is already yours.

You must condition your heart into a childlike-heart which finds it very easy to believe all things. Hence, whenever you pray, you must believe that your heavenly account has been credited with answer/solution. You can thereafter be rest assured that what you prayed for is already yours. All you need do is to start praising God for the delivery of answer to your prayer.

You must always see with the heart and eyes of faith that you have received what you prayed for. Now, it may take 1second, 1hour, 1day, year or years to have it, but the truth is that your account has already been credited.

So, the time between receiving and having what you prayed for, should be a period of rejoicing and thanksgiving.

Take for instance again, if you are owing someone 500 dollar and a friend of yours has sent the money to your bank account, but yet to be cashed out from the bank. What would your response sound like when the debtor calls you asking for his money? Would you still be sad or would you be glad to tell the debtor the exact day and time he will be getting his money?

Having faith in God that He has done whatever you asked for requires same attitude from you.
Always believe in God that He has credited your heavenly account with answers to prayers the very moment you asked, and  you will have what you ask for.

Thanksgiving should always be the substance that fills the gap between the  time of making a request and the time you take delivery of your request. (Colossians 4:2)

When you pray, simply believe that you receive what you pray for and begin to thank the Lord, then you will always have what you pray for.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

DECEITFULNESS OF SIN 2

TEXT. Hebrews 3:13  *But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin* .  *While deceit is a sin, Sin itself is deceitful.* Sin has the capacity to lure a man to do stuffs. *One of the major vices of the devil is to make sin appear attractive and unharmfult.* If Eve could see what the consequences of eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil would be, she would have resisted the deception of the man of sin. She was simply deceived.Gen, 3:6 While it is no news that all sinners are already condemned to deceitfulness of sin, it is sad to know that many children of God (like Adam and Eve), are being easily deceived by Sin. See the case of Ananias and Sapphira, Acts 5:1-13. Many Christians today are still playing the same game of smartness this couple played. I call it smartness because that was what they thought they were doing. While they thought they were smart, Peter knew that Satan h...
