CHANGE

Text : Matthew 7:5.

You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”

 *Our world is hungry for genuinely changed people. Everybody thinks of changing others, and nobody thinks of changing himself.* 

No one can change another person. The only person you can change is yourself, you can only influence others. It takes the Spirit of God to change a man, and that had to be with the cooperation of the man himself. 

 *It's sheer deception when you enter into relationship with a wrong person with the mindset that you will change him or her in the process.* The truth is, if man can easily change, then you would have changed from such erroneous mindset. 

While it is easier to see other people's error and judge them, God wants you to focus the light on yourself instead. 

Jesus called anyone who is quick in spotting errors in others a hypocrite. When you notice a sin or inadequacies in someone, it should prompt you to do these three things:

1.) Look inward to be sure you are not guilty of the same. If you realised you are also doing the same (even if it's in a smaller dimension) you should quickly repent and ask God to cleanse you.

2.) Even if you are not in anyway guilty of the same thing,  You should take heed, so you don't also fall.
 *Therefore, whoever thinks he is standing securely should watch out so he doesn’t fall.* 1Corinthians 10:12.

3.) You should pray for the restoration of such fellow and walk in love towards him in order to deliver him from the mouth of lion. *Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.*  Galatians 6:1.

We are not called into the ministry of fault- finding, rather, we are called into the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18. 

It takes a changed person to work with God in bringing about a change in another's life. Yes, God wants to use you in reconciling men back to Himself,  but He can only use a changed *You.* 

Beloved, Let us be among those who believe that inner transformation of our lives is a goal worthy of our best efforts.

1.) Father God, please help me to cooperate with you in bringing about the change you desire to see in me.

WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil. GULLIBLE BUT INTELLIGENT
