SHINE YOUR LIGHT-2

Text : Matthew 5:16

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

It is time for you to arise and shine your light for the world to see.

God dwells in light. He is Light personified. Hence, He does not need your light to shine before He can  see, rather, He wants you to shine your light for men and the world to see. And how will they see your light? Through your good works. Matthew 5:16.

The book of First Timothy chapter 6 verse 16 described God as one "who alone has immortality, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see, to whom be honor and everlasting power."

When your light shines well before men, they in turn will give glory to God.

*The extent to which your light shines, is the extent to which men give God Glory.* That's the reason Jesus said,  _"let your light so shine..."_
*If you will not so shine your light, men will not see your good works. And if men did not see your good works, God will not be glorified through you!*

So, one major reason you need to shine your light is so that men may give glory to God.

The second reason you need to so shine your light is because darkness is covering the whole earth. If you don't shine your light, the whole earth shall remain in darkness (evil) perpetually.

In the beginning, God rescued the earth from darkness by calling forth His light. He said, "let there be light..."  It is still the same order today. If you will shine forth God's light within you, then darkness will be dispelled on earth.

Shine forth your light, let men see your good works and they will glorify your God in heaven.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

THE GREATEST

Text : Matthew 18:4   *Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.*   *Being the greatest in the kingdom is not about what you do but who you are.* Jesus pointed out here that little children are humble beings. Hence, what qualifies a person as the greatest in the kingdom of heaven is humility. Little children are both lowly and meek. These are qualities that does not come naturally to an adult. For instance, when you bring a little child from a wealthy background to live in a very poor home with another poor little child, he will gladly comply without any struggle. He will never complain or compare. He will simply adapt and gladly receive all the low and impoverished treatments. No adult or grown up child can accept this so easily.  That is the reason Jesus did not ask us to be converted and become as a child but ' *little child* '   _And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be co...
