LIFE ISN'T FAIR-2.

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

One major way to stay afloat in this unfair and turbulent world, is to always find a niche to encourage yourself in the Lord God.*

David would have lost all; his wives, sons, daughters and that of his followers had it not been for his personal encouragement in the Lord. In the face of hard times and difficult situations, if you do not encourage yourself in the Lord, no one will do that for you.

When no one is available to support, comfort, console or encourage you in difficult times, you must always know one truth for certain- God is always there for you.

The one who orchestrates life that is unfair is not God but the devil. He is the one making your journey on this side  of eternity strenuous.

The enemy had entered David's camp and carted away his beloved ones and that of his men. They responded like everyone else would. They cried and grieved. This is the point many got to and did nothing more about their situation.

As for David, he went a bit further. Having encouraged himself in the Lord, he sought the Lord in prayer, and made a demand to reverse the unfavourable situation.

*There are only very few situations you can do something about, but with God, you can do* *something about many things and everything.* The scripture says, "....for with God all things are possible"

Don't just sit down and be accepting every bad and unfair situations life  throws at you through the workings of the devil. Like David, you can also pursue, overtake and recover all.

That was David's enquiry. "And David enquired at the LORD, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all. (1 Samuel 30:8).

You can also pursue all the precious things the enemy had carted away, you can pursue your beloved ones that the enemies had turned their hearts away from you, you can pursue your lost dreams. When you pursue, the Lord said, you shall overtake and recover all.

 *BIBLE READING* :

1 Samuel 30:1-19.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1. Father Lord, I receive the grace to pursue, overtake and recover all that the enemies have stolen from me in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
