THE BIG MOMENT 2*

Text : Genesis 18:2.

He glanced up and saw three men standing there, not far from him. As soon as he noticed them, Abraham ran from the tent entrance to greet them and bowed low to the ground.

Yesterday, we looked into some steps that could launch one into his destiny (big moment), using Abraham as our case study.
Today, we shall look into more of these steps :

1.) Humility: To be humble is to unreservedly elevate those around you without little or no regard for your ego.
Philippians  2:3  says, Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

*Pride is the reason many people live short of their destiny. Pride always go before the fall.* prov.16:18.

As soon as Abraham noticed the men, he ran from the tent entrance to greet them and bowed low to the ground.
Note that at this point, Abraham was an aged man of 99years with much affluence, yet on sighting these men, he bowed himself to the ground to greet them.

*At times, you need to come down from your camel so you can be better positioned to connect with your helpers.*

*Let humility be your daily attire, because God resists the proud and gives grace to the humble. James 4;6.*

2.) *Hospitality:* This is another quality that opened the big moment door to Abraham. He practically begged these men to wait and be entertained. Well, that's going the extra miles.

While some are draggy to entertain their friends or even family,  Abraham was begging strangers in order to show them hospitality.
Needless to say that Abraham could have missed his divine timing had it not be for this gracious heart of his.

Rebecca was launched into her big moments through this same principle. Gen.24:10-22. Lot was saved through this same principle. Gen.19:1-15.

The Bible is filled with stories of people who through humility and hospitality entered into the purpose of God for their lives. And there are host of others who missed their divine portion for lack of knowledge and virtuous living.

Even when God had given His promise to you, you still need to rightly position yourself to be able to enter into His promises.

 *Bible Reading :*

 Genesis 18:1-33.

 *PRAYER FOCUS*

1.) Father God,  I receive the grace to be humble and hospitable always, so I can be rightly positioned for your blessings.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
