CHARITY

Text:1 Timothy  1:5

Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.

Apostle Paul asked Timothy, his son in the faith to stay back in Ephesus in order to charge some of the teachers there not to teach other doctrine.

He further said to him;  "Don't let them waste their time in endless discussion of myths and spiritual pedigrees. These things only lead to meaningless speculations, which don't help people live a life of faith in God." (1Timothy 1:4, NLT).

The whole essence of these instructions is to help Timothy and others focus on the most important things, which are; "LOVE and FAITH"

_Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, [from] a good conscience, and [from] sincere faith._
(1 Timothy 1:5).

Love is the fulfillment of the law. (Romans 13:8). This is the reason Jesus Christ summarised the whole law into 2:  Foremost, love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. Secondly, love your neighbor as yourself.(Matthew  22:37).

Once you are able to see this Great commandment as clearly as it is, then you are ready  to embrace Love as the fulfillment of the law.

Love is the true test of spirituality and not knowledge or any other giftings.

Start walking in love, and you would have kept all the laws.

Bible  Reading:

1 Corinthians 13:1-10.

PRAYER FOCUS

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
