SOWING RIGHT

Text: Galatians 6:7

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

*Whether you know it or not, you are always sowing. The question  is; are you sowing right?*

Your whole life is a seed that is being sown on this side of eternity, and you will reap it either in corruption or life everlasting. May the Lord continually grant you grace to keep sowing to yourself in righteousness in Jesus name. (Hosea 10:12).

You need to know that every of your word, action and inaction are seeds. Hence, you must be very careful how you sow and what you sow. For instance, Apostle Peter in 1Peter 3:10-11 is instructing us on how we can sow aright in order to reap good days.

"...He who would love life And see good days, Let him refrain his tongue from evil, And his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; Let him seek peace and pursue it.

From the above scripture, you can identify certain  seeds you need to sow in order to reap good life and good days.

Do you truly love life?
Do you like to see good days? - Then start sowing the following seeds:

1. Refrain your tongue from evil:
Do not speak evil against yourself or others, not even against evil people. Let no evil words proceed from your mouth henceforth.(Proverbs 15:4).

2. Refrain your lips from speaking deceit: Let no deceit or guile be found on your lips. In order words, you must always speak honestly and faithfully. You must put away lies and dishonesty. (Proverbs  12:19).

3. Turn away from evil: While you must  desist from speaking evil, you must also turn away from doing evil. Evil is anything that is void of God and Good, but full of devil and bad. To turn away from evil is to do good and be a follower of that which is good.

4. Seek Peace and Pursue it: In sowing right seed, you must be a fervent seeker of Peace. You must seek peace with God, and your fellow humans.

Your time here on earth is extremely short as compared to  eternity God has prepared for you, so you must learn to always sow Peace that you may enter into the peace of your God at the end of your sojourn here on earth. (Romans 14:19, Hebrew 12:14).

Bible reading:

James 3:1-13.

PRAYER POINT.

1. Father Lord, give me the grace to daily sow to the Spirit and not to flesh in Jesus name.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
