SEEK KNOWLEDGE

Text :  2 Peter 1:2.

Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.

It is clear from the  text above that Grace and Peace can and should actually multiply (increase) in a believer's life. This multiplication can only come about through knowledge. And not just any knowledge but the very knowledge of God.

It is possible you have knowledge of many things, but the only knowledge that can bring about the multiplication of Grace and peace upon your life, is the knowledge of God and Jesus Christ.

One of the gifts that God bestows on any one who is in Christ Jesus is Grace. In fact, we are saved by grace. Ephesians  2:8 says *For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:* Grace is the very initiator of your salvation.

In the same vein, Jesus assured us of His peace in our lives when God's knowledge  enters into our minds and our hearts.  Jesus said, *"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid"* (John 14:27).

So it is clear that Jesus is more than willing to supply you with His Grace and Peace on a progressive note. Therefore, you have the singular duty of seeking God's knowledge in order to access this package.

Note that valuable knowledge like God's knowledge will not just drop on your laps, you have to seek for it. Hear what Proverbs has to say about this:

Yea, if you cry after knowledge, and lift up your voice for understanding;
If you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hid treasures;
Then shall you understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD gives wisdom: out of his mouth comes
knowledge and understanding. (Proverbs 2:3-6.)

The Lord gives wisdom, ask Him for it. He said in James  1:5 that *If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.*

Knowledge and understanding proceed from the mouth of the Lord. To seek Knowledge is to seek God's words, His instructions for your life.

Bible  Reading:

2 Peter.1:1-15.

PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, I receive the grace to seek you like hidden treasures and help my heart to retain your knowledge.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
