HIS PEACE-2

Text: 2 Thess. 3:16

Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord [be] with you all.

The peace of God in your life is not the absence of challenging situations, but the assurance of victory over every storm.

Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace Himself was in the boat with His disciples in Mark 4:37 when a violent windstorm came up, and the waves began breaking into the boat, so that the boat was rapidly becoming swamped.

What effrontery! The maker of wind and storm Himself was in the boat and yet, the windstorm had the audacity to raise its ugly head.

This goes to show that the presence of Jesus in your life doesn't necessarily means the absence of unpleasant situations, however,  if you do what the disciples did, then you can be sure to come out victorious.

The disciples cried out to Jesus for help; He got up, rebuked the wind, and told the sea, “PEACE! Be still!” Then the wind stopped blowing, and there was a great calm.

The Prince of Peace is available to pronounce His Peace into that turbulent situation only if you will ask Him to.

The true test of the presence of Peace in your life is not the absence of turbulence, but your calmness, tranquillity and enduring assurance in the face of the turbulence.

Bible  Reading: Mark 4:36-41.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
