DEEPER LIFE

Text :  Psalms 42:1.

As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.

The desperate need of this generation is not for a greater number of intelligent people, or gifted people, but for deep people. There are too many shallow people in our world today.

Deep down within you, you desire a deeper and fuller living. Inwardly, there's a crave to delve into a deeper life in God,  the only obstacle is How?

Psalms 42:7 says *Deep calls unto deep at the noise of your waterspouts: all your waves and your billows are gone over me.*

It takes someone with depth to crave for more depth, a shallow man has no desire for depth in any way.

To go deeper with God, you need a holy dissatisfaction with where you're at the moment. You can't feed a full man. In the same way, God can't do anything with a man who has no need of Him and for Him.

A man who is full of himself before God is the biggest fool of all times.

Matthew 5:3 says Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. The kingdom of God belongs only to those who know they have great need of God.

The first step to going deeper in God is to have a hunger and thirst for Him.

Ask God to empty you of every junks that have quenched your appetite for Him.

Bible  Reading :

Psalms 42:1-11

PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, please empty me of every junks that I have gathered over the years that has reduced my appetite for you and your kingdom.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
