THE TRUE INHERITANCE-3

Text : Deuteronomy 10:9

*Therefore Levi has no portion nor inheritance with his brethren; the LORD [is] his inheritance, just as the LORD your God promised him.)*

The Lord set the Levites as a model. He did not allow them share in the portion of lands given to all the tribes of Israel. God was their portion and inheritance.

The Levites today are the believers. All believers are now  priests unto God. 1Peter 2:9.

The Psalmist also recorded that the Lord is your portion in the land of the living. (Psalms 142:5). The land of the living cannot be this earth. It is only in the kingdom of heaven that you can find the land of the living. *Anyone that is outside God's kingdom is not in the land of the living but of the dead.*

God told Patriarch Abraham that He is his shield and exceeding great reward. God wanted Abraham to inherit Him and not things He has blessed him with. (Genesis 15:1).

Can you also seek to inherit God and not things?

Can you pass God as inheritance to your children?

Then let God be your portion in the land of the living.

God wants to possess you as His own inheritance and He also wants you to have Him as your inheritance. (Deuteronomy 4:20).

*The only thing you can own and possess eternally is God- not your bank account, houses, husband, wife or children.*

You are a wise person when you have this right sense of thinking.

BIBLE READING: I Peter 1:3-12.

PRAYER FOCUS

1. Father, help me to pursue the true inheritance, and to leave same for my children's children.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
