SPIRIT OF ORPHAN

Text: John 14:18

I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.

Jesus told a story of a son who walked out of his Father's presence having collected the portion of goods that belong to him.

This story is not just describing the condition of a sinner only, but one who has backslided and left God's presence. (See our Bible reading).

There is a spirit at work in the life of this younger son that Jesus described in Luke 15.  Though he has a Father, but he was not comfortable living under the covering of His Father. He wanted his  own things, and he wanted to live far away from the presence of his Father. This kind of spirit is called the spirit of Orphan.

The spirit of orphan is that which makes a believer not to stay under God. Though, such person may be born again, but such does not stay under the Lordship and authority of Jesus Christ.

When the spirit of orphan is at work in a believer, such believer lives a prodigal life. To be prodigal is to be wastefully extravagant.
Just as Luke 15:13 says, "Not many days after, the younger son gathered all of this together and traveled into a far country. There he wasted his property with riotous living".

*Any beliver that is living outside of the leadings and control of the Holy Spirit will be exposed to the spirit of orphan.* (Romans 8:14).

If you are not subjected to the leading of the Holy Spirit, then you are in danger of being hijacked by the spirit of orphan.

Every believer must seek to be led by God's Spirit and not their senses. Remember that the younger son in our Bible reading has always been at home under the covering of His Father before he left.

There are too many men of God; prophets, Pastors, Evangelist and Teachers of the word who had left the Presence of God in a long while but you wouldn't know so soon, and you may not even know on this side of eternity. Just like the prodigal son, they too had collected their portion of goods (anointing) from the Father God; and they have walked away from His presence, and become wasters of His anointing and calling.

Well, the good news is that the Father is still willing to take in all those living and operating under the spirit of orphan. He is eagerly waiting for them to come back.
If you are one, this is the right time to return to the Father.

May you always find grace to return to the Father of Grace and mercy at all times. May you be continually delivered from the spirit of orphan in Jesus name.

Bible  Reading: Luke 15:11-24.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life. You have limited time to exchange for eternal life in eternity.  Time offers you the opportunity to ga...
