IT IS WELL-2

Text: 2 Kings 4:26.

Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.

The Shunnamite woman told Gehazi all is well with her, even when it wasn't well at all.

You must be very careful how, where and to whom you divulge your issues and information to. Not everyone who cares to hear about your problems truly cares about you.

Just as though the woman knew that Gehazi can't solve her problem, she simply told him "all is well." But when she came to the man of God, she opened up her situation to him.
_And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught him by the feet: but Gehazi came near to thrust her away. And the man of God said, Let her alone; for her soul is vexed within her: and the LORD hath hid it from me, and hath not told me._(2 Kings 4:27).

The same woman who told Gehazi it is well, was the same woman who caught Elisha by the feet because she was in serious anguish.

You must never be too strong for God, that you cannot share your vulnerability, weakness, problems and infirmities with Him.

While Elisha sent Gehazi to raise the woman's son with his staff, the woman never gave up on the very giver of the staff. She held on still to the  giver of the staff.

In the same vein, you must not lose sight of God during your time of difficulty. He is the very giver of the life, the miracle worker Himself.

You must focus on the giver and not the gift, the miracle worker and not the miracle.

PRAYER FOCUS

1. Father, I receive the grace not to focus on my situations, but on you only.

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:8-37.
