INFLUENCE

Text : 1 Corinthians 15:33.

Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

Have you ever wondered why negatives most times override positives. Well, that's how this world is wired.

This explains why 1 Corinthians  15:33 says Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.Note that this verse didn't say good manners will influence evil people.

Don't be deceived, you are as good as the company you keep. Proverbs  13:20 says, He that walks with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.

In mathematics,  we were taught that negative times plus will always give you negative. (+×-=-). That is, bad or negative people have more tendency to influence the good ones when put in the same box.

An old adage says, show me your friends, and I'll tell you who you are. The people we associate with can reveal a lot about our character.

To better influence them, you have to be separated from them. You are in a vantage position to save a man from the pit, when you are not in the pit yourself.

Hear God's express instruction to you on this matter: _Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, says the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,_ (2 Corinthians  6:17).

Bible  Reading: 2 Corinthians 6:14-18.
