MY PORTION

Text :  Psalms 73:26. 

My body and mind may fail, but God is my strength and my portion forever.

There are times when you get so unmotivated. Nothing just seems to make sense. 

As a young fellow,  naturally,  your glory is your strength, so says  Proverbs 20:29. But Isaiah 40:30 says even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall.

That is, you will not be a youth forever,  and even as a youth your strength will not always carry you through.

This is why David said even if his body and mind fails, he is sure that God will never fail. This unfailing God will always be his strength and portion. 

It is wisdom to lean on the rock that can never fail. If God is your portion,  it does not matter what happens around you, because He cannot fail, you will not fail.

1.) Father God, I thank you for being my portion, my shield and my exceeding great reward.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
