HUMBLE YOURSELF

Text : 1 Peter  5:6 

Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:

Pride always go before destruction. Even God is never in favour of the proud. He says in 1 Peter 5:5 that He resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.

Now, *it's either you humble yourself and be lifted up or you lift up yourself and be humbled.

It is your responsibility to humble yourself, because inherent in everyone is the tendency to be proud. 

God promised to exalt you in due time only when you have fulfilled your part of humbling yourself. 

When the disciples asked Jesus about who is the greatest in the kingdom, His response borders directly on humility. 

Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:4.

Humility is the way to greatness in the kingdom of God. Be humble.

1.) Father God, please give me the grace to be humble at all times.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. TIME IN ETERNITY

Text : Psalms 90:12  So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom._  Our God dwells in eternity past, present and future. In between these phases of eternity, He created man to dwell in Time. When man sinned, he fell short of God's plan, and death came in.(Rom 3:23). Death therefore short circuit man's life in eternity. This is the reason Jesus.came.  He had to come into TIME in order to remove the PAUSE  death HAD on man.  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16.  Every man born into this world automatically becomes an eternal being. The question therefore is, which side of eternity would such a man dwell? Everlasting life or Everlasting condemnation? Time is an opportunity given to man to trade for eternal life.
