Text : Matthew 7:3.
“Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye?
It's easier to judge others than to turn the touch on yourself by using the same yardstick to judge yourself.
Imagine someone with a plank of wood in his eyes attempting to remove a speck in someone's eyes.
Very hypocritical you will say.
But this is what many are doing today. Jesus asked a question, He says, “Why do you see the speck in your brother’s eye but fail to notice the beam in your own eye? Matthew 7:3.
Again, He asked, "... how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when the beam is in your own eye?"(Matthew 7:4)
Why spend time and energy trying to diagnose and prescribe medications for another's problem when you are suffering from bigger problems without any effort to receive treatment.
Now, this is the verdict Jesus gave. the way that you judge others will be the way that you will be judged, and you will be evaluated by the standard with which you evaluate others. (Matthew 7:2)
This is what you should rather do, First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you will see clearly enough to remove the speck from your brother’s eye.”
Don't be quick in finding faults in others, rather, you should examine yourself in the light of His word.
Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
(2Corinthians 13:5)
