MORE THAN ENOUGH-3

Text : 2 Kings 4:3

He told her, “Go out to all of your neighbors in the surrounding streets and borrow lots of pots from them. Don't get just a few empty vessels, either.

Yesterday we established the truth that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or think. And that He can only do this based on the workings of His power  at work in you. Hence, all you need do is submit yourself to Him unreservedly.

Today, we shall be looking at how you can further position yourself in order to access the more than enough provision from the Lord.

In the midst of deliberation on how to get provision to feed more than 5,000 people who attended Jesus' crusade, Andrew brought a ridiculous quantity of five(5) barley loaves and two small fishes.

To Andrew, He just thought he was simply mentioning a provision that cannot match up with the need at hand. As for Jesus, he had simply brought all that is needed for the miracle of provision. Always learn to be grateful for the little provision you receive from the Lord. *Simply maintain a grateful heart at all times; for the same God who provided the little is the same God who will supply the plenty.*

Immediately Jesus received these seemingly little provisions, He's got all He needed. He asked His disciples to make the people sit, and thereafter, He thanked the Lord. (John 6:10&11).

The two learning  points here are:

1. Rest: He asked that the people remain in a state of calmness. Sitting position is a position of confidence. *An anxious man cannot not sit. Even if he is sitting, his mind isn't sitting inside him. He is not resting. Stop being anxious. Simply sit and be calm before the Lord.Jesus ordered that people should sit, rest and wait for God's provisions.

2. Thanksgiving: thanking and praising God for  little is a breakthrough to having more than enough.

Learn to be extremely  grateful for little things, it is a way to exercising your heart to handle Big things from the Lord.

Bible Reading:John 6: 5-13.

PRAYER FOCUS

1 ) Father God, please enlarge my heart to be grateful for little things.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
