MORE THAN ENOUGH-2

Text : 2 Kings 4:3

He told her, “Go out to all of your neighbors in the surrounding streets and borrow lots of pots from them. Don't get just a few empty vessels, either.

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us._ (Ephesians 3:20).

Note that while God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that you can ask or think; God's workings in your life is according to the power that works in you. And that power is His.

The only thing you have to do is simply allow the power of God work in you. *The power of God at work in you is the Holy Spirit. When you allow Him, He will do exceedingly abundantly above all that you ask or imagine.

The major hindrance to the workings of God's power in you is yourself. I mean your mindset. You often undermine the operations of God's Spirit in your life by your reasoning. (2King 7:1-2).

The text we are considering stated the instruction given to the widow- "Go borrow lots of pots... Don't get just a few empty vessels..."

The quantity of oil she received was dependent on the quantity of vessel she made available.

In the same way, the quantity of God's power at work in you is determined by the level of your availability to Him.* The only thing that makes you unavailable for the Spirit's infilling, and indwelling is your mindset.

The widow's oil stopped flowing the moment the vessel was exausted. As long as you are available, God is also willing to allow His Spirit flow through you.

Make yourself available unto God and He shall continuously flow through you!

Bible Reading: 2 Kings 4:1-7.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." So, it's no surprise when you see Satan's messengers masquerading themselves as Apostle of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11:14.  The word of God is perfect. Yet, many people can twist it to their advantage and ultimately to their disadvantage. A drunk, smoker, fornicator, liar and all sort can justify their sinful lifestyles with a Bible verse. See to it that you do not twist the word of Go...

IN MY NAME.

Text : Mark 16:17-18  And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Having believed in the gospel (Good news of the resurrection of Jesus and His victory over Sin, Satan and Death), you now need to start using the name of Jesus authoritatively. JESUS said that in His name you shall cast out devils; you shall speak with new tongues; you shall take up serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt you; you shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. This means that you will undertake all these in the authority of Jesus' name. No matter how small or powerless you may think you are in your own eyes. Once you believe in His name, you shall do all that He promised.   Unbelief was the sin that Israelites committed that wasted a whol...
