MERCY

Text : Lamentations 3:22&23

It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

It's quite comforting to know that God's mercies and compassions are new every morning. In other words, you can say that God's goodness,  kindness and compassion come fresh to you every morning.

Is it not amazing that we daily receive fresh and new package of God's mercy and compassion.

The daily supply of God's mercies and compassion is hinged  on His faithfulness and not your merit.* It is very important for you to know that mercy and compassion are not only needed when you sin or do something wrong.  They are like oxygen that we need for breathing.

God reveals His mercy in multidimensional phases and levels. Sometimes you need judgement (discernment) to be able to understand the operations of His mercy.

In fact,  the truth is: Man does not and cannot understand the mystery of His mercy.

For instance, the wicked man that was highly injurious to the Saints in the early Church during the first century received Mercy. I don't know the kind of Prayers today's Church would have been praying against Saul, if he were to be around today.

The truth is, there are many sinners out there today that God will still save by His mercy. Apostle Paul himself remarked about the mercy he received  in 1 Timothy  1:16 thus:

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting_

So, Apostle Paul is a pattern of God's mercy to many who have believed today.

Sometimes,  the devil makes you feel like God is punishing you for your past sins. This is a fat lie. Remember that His mercies and compassion are new every morning. So you have daily opportunity to receive new mercy.

Draw near with boldness to the throne of Grace, that you may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. Heb 4:16

Are you in your time of need today?

Then, the Lord is asking you to come to the throne of Grace for Mercy. Whatever the state you are in now,  just come boldly( not arrogantly)  to the throne of Grace.  Luke 18:10-14.
*The mercy of God is not earned by your works but by His Faithfulness.*
