THE PROCESS

Text : Isaiah 64:8.

But as for you, O LORD, you are our Father; and we are clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hands.

Imagine the process gold goes through before it comes out as gold. Now imagine that the gold has a will-power, probably it will simply jump out of the process when too much heat is applied.

For us to come out as a refined product in the hands of God, we have to pass through processes. Unlike inanimate objects however, *man has the will power to abort the process that should launch him into destiny, be careful not to do that.

We shall be looking at some individuals and the processes they went through before they became the icons we know them to be today.

The very first case study we will consider is Joseph.

Joseph had a dream which was given to him by the Lord. (Genesis 37)

From a tender age he had the understanding that he was to be a ruler.

It is important to know why you are here. *You are not a product of mistake, God has a specific plan in mind for you to fulfill.

After Joseph had understood God's purpose for his life, he had to go through 'his process' before his manifestation. For Joseph his refining process includes:

1. BETRAYAL :Joseph was betrayed by his own blood brothers. Genesis 37:18-22. On the way to fulfilment, you are likely to meet a lot of betrayals. Brace up yourself and see it as a process.

2. *Slavery:* For someone who had a dream of becoming a leader, you can imagine how devastating it must be for Joseph to discover that instead of being a leader, he became a slave. Ultimately, you are not defined by your situation but by your drive.

3. *Imprisonment:* Joseph was eventually imprisoned for an offence he never committed, yet he refused to let go of his God. If he had lowered his standards because of the challenges, he would have cut down the ladder that would have lifted him to greatness. Genesis  39.

All of these unseemly circumstances were processes that Joseph had to go through before he could land in the palace. If he had boycott any of these stages, he would have boycotted destiny.

To grow, you have to go through processes, and don't expect it to be rosy. But know that there's light at the end of the tunnel.

BIBLE READING: Genesis: 37:1-36.
