RAPTURE

Text : 1Thessalonians 4:16. 

With a shout of command, with the archangel’s call, and with the sound of God’s trumpet, the Lord himself will come down from heaven, and the dead who belong to the Christ will rise first.

We have different categories of people in the world as far as the knowledge of God's word is concerned. 

First, are those that are completely clueless. They have no idea of what God says. They have no idea of the times and seasons we are in. 

A chunk number of this people are not Christians. They don't know Christ the Saviour. YOU HAVE A DUTY TO PREACH THE WORD OF TRUTH TO THOSE WHO ARE COMPLETELY IGNORANT OF IT.

Yes, it is your responsibility as a child of God to tell those who do not know what you know about the love of Christ.

But unfortunately, there are some people in the church who are equally ignorant of what God is saying.

This is another category of people in the world. They are only Christians in theory (by name), but in the real sense of Christianity, they are not different from pagans. They are simply norminal Christians.

A Christian is not someone who goes to church, but someone who is Christ-like.

So, this religious bigots may also not know what rapture is all about. Some of these people, their pastors have a case to settle before God, because it is the responsibility of the Shepherd to feed the flock correctly and adequately on all the counsels of God.

However, ignorance is no excuse anywhere. It is your responsibility to get yourself informed so as not to be deformed.

We now live in a world where no one is excusable. The same way you get junk information on the Internet, you can also get good and life changing information everywhere if you desired it.

The last category of people are those who know what is written concerning them. Now, this category of people are also subdivided into two: those who know and are living accordingly, and those who know and are living carelessly, their knowledge nonetheless. 

If you know, you have the responsibility to take heed how you live, and you also have the responsibility of telling those who are ignorant. 

One salient topic the church seems to be silent on is 'Rapture'. In simple language, rapture (in Christian context) is the sudden taking up of the saints both dead and living into heaven to be with our Master forever. 

Jesus, our Lord and King, gave us signs of end time (end of this world ) to watch out for. Matthew 24:3-14.

He also told us to watch out for the signs that Daniel and other prophets mentioned. Matthew 24:15.

Now, all of these signs have been fulfilled, the only one left before the great day of sorrow will begin is rapture. 

No one knows the time God has appointed for this event to take place, but He told us to stay ready at all times.

He says in Revelation 22:7 that Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keeps the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Another event that no one knows its timing is death. Once a man dies, his time is up. He will wake up to eternal life or eternal condemnation based on his response to the gospel while he's alive.

His Voice to you today is reminding you of the most significant event in this world - Rapture.

Don't be carried away with cares of this world and forget that we are here only to prepare for our after life.

IT IS WRITTEN AGAIN

Text: Matthew 4:6. He told Jesus, “Since you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, because it is written,   ‘God will put his angels in charge of you,’ and,   ‘With their hands they will hold you up, so that you will never hit your foot against a rock.’ Jesus knocked devil off with "it is written" when he came to him with the first temptation. So, the devil too decided to use "it is written" for Jesus for the second temptation.  Don't be deceived, the devil knows the scriptures too. Second Corinthians 11:14 says,  "Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light." WHEN GOD IS SILENT(2)

Text: Matthew 4:1  *Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.*  We saw yesterday that God was not pleased with many israelites that left Egypt for the promised land  (Corinthians 10:5).  A good percentage of the Israelites were overthrown in the wilderness.   Wilderness experience is not what any child of God desires, but it is an experience God sends or allows his children go through. In Deuteronomy 8:2, God says that He *LED* the Isrealites through the wilderness for forty years to humble them, to prove them, and to know what was in their heart whether they would keep his commandments or not.  Our Lord Jesus Christ was also *LED* into the wilderness by the Spirit of the Lord to be tempted by the devil.
