LIFE & HEALTH

Text: Proverbs 4:22

*"...For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh"*

God's words have the power and potency to give you life and supply health, healing and cure to your body. When you devote yourself to the study of God's words like your necessary daily meal, you reap great rewards therein.

In anyway, *God's words are spiritual meal that guarantees your spiritual and physical wellbeing.

Job said, "Neither have I gone back from the commandment of His lips; *I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food"* Job 23:12.

There are few things you must do for God's words to become flesh(real and tangible)in your life and situations.

Proverbs 4:20-21 stated four(4) things you must do for God's words to be life and health to you.

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart;

1. Give attention to His words: Giving attention to God's words is committing yourself to daily study and meditation of the word. It is good to hear God's word from teachers and preachers in the church or online, but it is best for you to personally create your own time for the word. "My pastor says this, my pastor says that" is not going to bring you into spiritual maturity. A saying has it that: *"No matter how tall your father is, you must do your own growing."

Many people in the church today are being cheated and robbed simply because they have not been making out personal time to study God's words.

The scripture in Acts 17:11 recorded and compared the attitude of two different people to God's words:

These(Berea) were more fair-minded than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness, and searched the Scriptures daily [to find out] whether these things were so.

The Bereans were more noble than the Thessalonians because they do two things:

a. They eagerly received God's.

 b. They searched out what they have received daily.

No student makes outstanding success in the long run by only attending lecture, listening to lecturers and taking notes without having personal time for study. Even if there are few genius who are exceptional, the general rule and standard for sustainable success still lies on personal study.

So, if serious student will need personal time of study to guarantee him success, why do you think the case is different in Spiritual matters. You also need your personal time with the Lord.

Do not always run to pastor for everything. Get to know God for yourself.

Pay attention to His words by yourself, and you will start to witness turn around in your own life and situations.

Bible reading:  Psalms 1:1-6

PRAYER FOCUS

1.) Father God, I ask for grace to commit to personal and indepth study of your words.

THE GOOD FIGHT-2

Text:  1 Timothy  6:12   Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses. Another thing to pursue in fighting the good fight of faith is Godliness. We understand through the Holy scriptures that godliness is profitable unto all things.   *For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.* 1 Timothy  4:8.  You will reap the reward of your godliness not only when you get to heaven, but from here on earth. And this is why we are admonished to exercise ourselves unto godliness. (1 Timothy  4:7), because godliness with contentment is great gain.1 Timothy  6:6. Godliness is the practice of conforming to the image of God by reflecting the nature of the kingdom of God in the course of everyday life. In other words, godliness is living and portray...

WAY MAKER-2

Text: Isaiah 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it?  I will even make a way in the wilderness,  and rivers in the desert. God promised that He will do a new thing for you, and that He will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. He has done this before, and He will do it again even in your own life.  When the children of Israel left Egypt, the Egyptians pursued after them, all the horses and chariots of Pharaoh, and his horsemen, and his army, and overtook them, encamping by the sea, beside Pihahiroth, before Baalzephon.(Exodus 14:9). Just like anyone would react, the Isrealites became so fearful because there is neither way forward nor back for them to escape. Before them was the red sea, behind them were the Egyptian armies. They became perplexed and began to murmur against Moses. It is possible you are also in a situation like the Israelites- No way forward, and no way behind. Things may appear like you are ...

HIS VOICE- 2

Text : John 10:3. To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out. We established yesterday that one thing you can't joke with as a true follower of Christ is *His Voice.* You must recognise and hearken to (obey) His voice. It is in doing this that your safety is assured.  Today, we want to see another responsibility of the Shepherd over His sheep.  To him the porter opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his own sheep by name, *and leads them out.* John 10:3.  He called you, that He might lead you. It is not enough for you to hear or recognise His Voice, you must allow Him to lead you as well.  Romans 8:14 says *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*   The Spirit leading you determines the family you belong to. Basically,  there are only two families in this world - the family of God, and the family of satan. In other words, we can say the Kingdom...
